Interview of Americans Students about the last Presidential Election and Actuals Debates Interview of Americans Students about the last Presidential Election and Actuals Debates

I decided to make these interview about the principal debates during the last election, because I think that is an current subject and I would like to know more about the point of view of real  Americans .

I ask four of my Americans friends who were pleased of participating in my interview.

• Ramon Cavalleiro:  19 years  Undergraduate Student  (San Francisco)

Harley dority:  20 years Undergraduate Student (Virginia University)

• Latir Badiane: 17 years  High School Student (Miami)

• Jamil Pusch:  18  years Undergraduate Student  (Houston)

- What's your academic level?

  • Jamil: well I currently hold my high school diploma and I am planning to start my secondary education in January 2013.
  • Ramon: I have a high school diploma I am going through college
  • Latir : High school
  • Harley: I am currently a college freshman.

- Did you follow with attention the last presidential election?

  • Jamil: Yes I did follow the past election.
  • Ramon: not really but I know who won
  • Latir : Of course I supported Obama
  • Harley: I did follow the last presidential election pretty closely

- What was your feeling about the result?

  • Jamil: I’m very pleased with the outcome of the presidential elections as I am a big fan of Obama. What disconcerts though is that nearly half of US citizens deemed Mitt Romney a fit choice for presidency. Romney, in my opinion, should have never gotten so many votes and so much support from Americans due to his views on current events as well as his foreign and domestic policies.
  • Ramon: I am glad Obama won, mitt is stupid
  • Latir: I felt very proud of my country because Obama reprints hope
  • Harley: I was extremely happy with the result of the election; I really love Obama as president.

There have been debates very important such as the war in Iraq, the right to hold any weapons...

- Do you think that is a good idea to protect your family with guns?

  • Jamil: Well anyone would do anything to protect their families but owning a gun should not be the answer but sometimes a gun can be the only option.
  • Ramon: the only person that should hold a gun are the ones that know how to use, have a license for their gun and are mentally capable of using it.
  • Latir: I think that the government must control these weapons
  • Harley: I do not personally believe guns are necessary in daily life and that law on guns should be more strict.

- Do you think that the US.The army still has to stay in Iraq, and why?

  • Jamil: No, I believe the US army should leave Iraqi territory because they have caused enough harm to the country. I believe the only way to help Iraq at this point is using diplomacy and help them by sending educated people to rebuild their country, economy and infrastructure. In my opinion the war in Iraq is appalling. The United States attacked and took Iraq under siege using the excuse of the existence of weapons of mass destruction. These weapons were never found and the United States still remained in Iraqi territory. The US invaded Iraq simply to steal their oil, and that subsequently caused the death of hundreds of Iraqi civilians, the destruction of homes and the destruction of an entire country.
  • Ramon: I don’t know, the war in Iraq is complicated, because at the same time that there are some terrorists there most of the government is only there because of petroleum.
  • Harley: I think that the army should definitely start getting the entire US army out of Iraq, we have been there long enough and I do not think that they are staying is doing much better, they need to be able to stand on their own without help from other nations.
  • LatirIt's absolutely paramount to find a way out the war. They must leave because they have no longer anything to do there !
